PUBG unban big development, stage is set for PUBG mobile to return in India without tencent

PUBG Mobile could get unbanned and return to India before 2021. The biggest popular mobile Battle Royale shooter game that had put Indian on the forefront of esports is set to return. On 30th October 2020 Tencent stopped its services to the PUBG mobile in india and handed the PUBG Mobile Indian IP Rights back to Bluehole ( Krafton Inc). Bluehole has merged with PUBG Corp. and the entirety of this game developing studio was occupied by Krafton. Is PUBG unban will be the big news of the month?

TechCrunch reveals that they have spoken to two sources that state that the popular battle royale game could return to India before the end of the year.

Their Sources says that the South Korean gaming company is in talks with cloud service providers to store game data of Indian gamers. Initially, this was taken care of by Tencent gaming (they were also the publishers of the Pubg Mobile in India). However, their license was cut after the ban. The sources remained anonymous as they weren’t authorised to speak to the press.

Pubg Mobile publishers have always kept close ties to their streamers and top players, so this comes as no surprise that they are the one’s to know first.

The report also highlights that sources have indicated that PUBG Mobile could make an announcement for the game’s relaunch in India as soon as this week as it plans to run a massive marketing campaign in India during Diwali.

PUBG has engaged with a number of local firms such as SoftBank-backed Paytm and telecom giant Airtel to explore whether they would be interested in publishing the popular mobile game in the country, an industry executive told Techcrunch.

Other Pubg Mobile streamers and top players have also been hinting at the of PUBG unban on their Instagram stories.

TSM|Entity’s SID and Ghathak were even went out to celebrate with Kronten and others. They were all hinting for the big PUBG Mobile India news i.e., PUBG unban, while no one exclusively said this, it was understood what they were hinting at.
